Carnukas Will Abound

A reader sent in a comment to the LaSanbe news desk about the city of San Antonio letting the public camp out at parks in the lead-up to the Easter holiday.  Last year, Laredoans were not allowed to even line up outside the gate of Lake Casa Blanca (pictured above) the night before Easter.  Public officials cited safety concerns along Bob Bullock Lp. as reason for the restriction.  A lake representative told me that state parks do not allow camping overnight, unless a reservation is made in advance by those who use the RV facilities.  At the present time, there are no camping vacancies, I was told.

Admission to the lake is $4 per adult, and children 12 years and younger enter free.

I'm planning to go cruise the lake late in the afternoon with the rock music blastin' and then perhaps a quick turn around world famous San Bernardo Ave.  Because, of course, Easter is the official start to the cruising season.
