Not Looking Good

While the rest of the country is debating the president's stance on gay marriage, or our weakening support for the war in Afghanistan, we're keeping close tabs on whether the new baseball stadium will be ready in time for opening day.  Bordertown Blues doesn't think so, and I'm with him on that.

Things fell behind, and the LMT documents some of the reasons that led to delays.  This is my favorite:
Even after this, Leyendecker continued emailing several complaints to the city about not being paid in a timely manner.  "You've been taking a long time to process our applications," Leyendecker wrote to Labrada on April 11.  "We are working seven days a week & sometimes 14 (hours) per day and yet you continue to handle this project as if we were all working a 40 hour work week.  Maybe you are working 40 hour work weeks but we are working 80 hour weeks.
Will the people who bought tickets to be the first ones in riot?
