Gonna try to use the drizzle to help me wash my car.
I've been thinking about how Henry Cuellar boasts about Texas having two new Hispanic (democrat) districts because of him. We lucked out with two new districts even though we keep hearing that Hispanics are going to be in the majority in the near future. But if we look to the valley, Hispanic democrats are switching to the republican side. Yes, Hispanics can be republicans, but voting trends along the border tell us otherwise.
Ruben Hinojosa's district (15) will now include GOP-leaning Guadalupe County. Will his seat be in play? It's hard for me to get excited about what Cuellar views as a victory when Hispanic representation seems to be in chaos in Texas.
