Webb County C.A.A. Affair

At Monday's county meeting, commissioners court asked staff to move expeditiously on the C.A.A. weatherization investigation, but since records were just returned by the FBI, it's going to take some time for staff to review them and see what payments are going to be made to contractors.

On Wednesday I posted a clip of an earlier exchange from that meeting

In this post, Judge Danny Valdez wants to make information public but County Attorney Ana Laura Cavazos-Martinez delaO cautions against going all out with details.
We should not be discussing these in public session;  And I have said that over and over and over again...(judge interjects)...Public information is great and we will put in a petition, at point and time that we can, what is public information.  But some of these things do not, and should not, be discussed in publc.  And we are only hurting our positions in giving away everything we have with regards to..... and that's why the law allows us to go into executive session for some of these things.
Over and over and over again.
