This weekend I was fortunate enough to get the help of a co-worker to make some type of progress on my back yard. During the Christmas break, I started work on what was to be a cement floor. After being floored by the price of concrete, and not getting support from my neighbor to let the cement truck into his property for delivery, I decided to go in another direction.
I went out and bought a yard(a) of caliche, a gravelly material that contained bigger rocks than I expected. I spread it out in the designated space and added some bricks and stepping stones I had lying around. I want to add bigger stepping stones, some small pebbles, and seating. The large water feature might be a reality down the road.
