A seven-year veteran patrol officer with the Laredo Police Department was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with insurance fraud.

Officers served Jose Roberto Aguirre, 31, with a warrant charging him with insurance fraud. Officers arrested him at the department.

It must be tough for the chief to go out there and have to answer questions about his police force going bad.  But he does it anyway.
“The Laredo Police Department regrets the news of an arrest of one of our officers but this should not serve as a reflection on the rest of the brave men and women who valiantly serve this community with honor and integrity,” Chief Carlos Maldonado states in a department news release.
Cops make a pretty good living.  I wonder if the lure of more money is just to keep up appearances, what with the expensive sunglasses they have to wear, and the 4x4 trucks they have to own.  The macho lifestyle comes with a heavy price, apparently.
