Anti-Union Sentiment

In an earlier post, Dan pointed to this video in the comments section:

Wisconsin, Ohio and New Jersey leaders are going at it with their respective public employee unions over benefit cuts to balance their budgets.  The derision directed at teachers has been especially fascinating.  Apparently there is little love out there for them.  That tells me that a lot of people didn't have a good experience being educated; and their bad grammar only reinforces my suspicion.

With the news of the Laredo Bucks moving, we got this little nugget from the team's owner.  (via the LMT)
Late last week, Bucks owner Glenn Hart told Laredo Morning Times that a move to the CHL was under “serious consideration.” He cited the CHL’s “economic model” as its primary flaw, specifically noting the arrival of the players' union a few years ago that ultimately drove up costs.

Yes.  Everything that is wrong with the world can be attributed to unions.  The fact that a professional hockey team couldn't make it work in an arid climate had nothing to do with it.  Oh, and don't forget the average wage around here.  Forget that, it was the union
