Was There A Meeting?

A decision to use HKS, Inc. to prepare the architectural schematics for a baseball stadium in Laredo also set the price of the project at $18 million.

Also discussed at Monday's city council meeting was the subject of building affordable housing in south Laredo.  I wanted to check in with the proceedings via the public access channel but it wasn't televised for some reason.  The new stadium has not been without controversy.  Whether it's the price of the facility or the potential tenants, the stadium has left voters confused as to what they really voted for when they approved the venue's construction.

The stadium is moving forward but the process is again being carried out with the least amount of information available.  Zach Lindsey writes:
the council approved authorizing the city manager to enter into a contract for the architectural aspect of the stadium project.  It passed with little discussion.
HKS will get $1.45 million to draw up the plans for the stadium.  And the only person that voted against this is Michael Landeck.  Who exactly was at the meeting and voted for the HKS contract is not known.
