Recording The Cops

An Oregon man won a $19,000 settlement after police arrested him for recording an officer making an arrest.
The settlement comes almost two years after Beaverton police arrested Hao Xeng Vang, who used his cell phone to capture the arrest of one of his friends at the Valley Lanes Bowling Center in Beaverton.
This sounds familiar.  If you recall one of my earlier posts, an officer stopped me after I took pictures of him.

It's not something that I do often, but at least I know that in a public space, almost all recording is fair game.
