I have to hand it to two brave gentlemen who work for the city of Nuevo Laredo, Juan Angel Villasana Montalvo and GilAlberto Arroyo. These two braved the Rio Grande's rising waters yesterday to secure six trailers that were floating towards bridge 1. El Manana has the story.
The river's current caused the trailers to float closer to the Mexican side. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. authorities were busy tying the trailers so as to avoid them doing harm to our only pedestrian bridge.
KLDO has some footage of the trailers floating on the river. It starts at the 1:06 mark.
