The big news around town has been the water level rising on the Rio Grande. I haven't made it out to the downtown area to witness history, but I did catch some of the action that's taking place in the Chacon.
Traffic has slowed along Meadow Ave. as motorists check out the high water level in the creek. Pictured is part of the Chacon Trail which was spruced up by the city to attract people to the area. The water in the creek is usually at the level you see here. You can access the Rio Grande from this point, which is about two blocks away.
