His Name Is Leo Garza

About two weeks ago, Bordertown Blues and I posted the picture of a cartoon that appeared in the LMT.  BTB did a fine job with the seamless posting of the cartoon drawn by Leo Garza.  My post looks a little more shabby as I scanned the page from the newspaper.  Mine might have more character but it highlights my technical limitations.

Anywhoozel, The Times' editor lets us in on the identity of the cartoonist.
The cartoonist is Leo Garza, who's not really new to Laredo audiences. In fact, he grew up in Laredo and was a cartoonist for Laredo Morning Times in the 1980s. He drew the very popular "Needles" comic strip for LMT, which introduced Nacho Guarache. Leo's parents still live here and he comes back home regularly. Like most Laredoans, he can't help keeping in touch with what's going on in the Gateway City. There's just no place like Laredo, is there?
It's excellent work and we hope to see more of it.

And on a side note, I want to thank everybody for visiting this site and posting comments on the different threads.  Your input helps me continue this little effort.  Help me spread the Sanbe buzz by clicking the little envelope below and sending this post to somebody you know.  Send it to a relative, a friend, or your boss.  Let's make this site much more imposing.  Thanks and good day!
