Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place last night in Cleveland. Woohoooo. Musical acts are eligible for the hall of fame 25 years after their first recording. This year's main inductees were ABBA, Genesis, The Hollies, Jimmy Cliff, and The Stooges.

I don't know all that goes into the nomination and selection process. It seems unfair that some acts are inducted on their first year of eligibility, while others are inducted years later, even posthumously.

Sadder still are the many bands that have been snubbed for years, even though several of them are still active and still making new music!

Here is a list of notable snubs by the Hall of Fame (many of which, I might add, are KeyRose favorites):
Alice Cooper, Bad Company, Cheap Trick, Chicago, The Cure, Depeche Mode, ELO, Foreigner, Hall & Oates, Heart, Journey, KISS, The Moody Blues, Pat Benetar, Public Enemy, and Rush.

What's it going to take to get these artists "that have enhanced our lives over the years" into the Hall? Come on!
