The movies are being billed as Mexican cinematic works from The Golden Era.
How appropriate it would be to show these films at a former Laredo theater that once had its heyday in a neighborhood that shared its name: El Azteca.
El Azteca theater (pictured), sadly, is now used as storage space.

I took a Google Maps screen grab of the corner building, the one that was next to the Azteca Theater. (Notice the uneven telephone lines?)
On March 26 I snapped a photo of what is now a parking lot. We can now see the side of the historic theater.
