Chew them up & spit them out

Corey Haim, who died today in Los Angeles at 38 years old, had started his career with so much potential. He even earned a Young Artist Award for his earliest acting work. But like so many child stars, fame came too early.

The path towards the downward spiral of drugs, alcohol, unemployability, and even destitution followed. And sadly, everyone forgot about him.

I remember first seeing him as the lead in "Lucas" in 1986. He starred with Winona Ryder and Charlie Sheen. I watched it so many times when it was on HBO one summer.

Another talent lost. RIP. :'(
