The End

Now that De La Hoya has laid waste to his own legacy, we take a look back to recent interview leading up to big fight yesterday. In this pre-fight segment, De La Hoya interviews himself and discusses his 'walk in the park' preparation and strategies for using his experience, reach & weight advantage. Kenny Rogers once pontificated: "You got to know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run". Some people ignore these words. Instead, they stand still and get their ass kicked.

  1. At this point, Oscar is Don King and and Bob Arum, rolled into one.
He is still the only real draw in boxing and has known that he has been overmatched for at least his last 7 fights. Hell, Sugar Shane Moseley exposed him.

However, this was never really about boxing, this was about money. He personally pulled $25 million for EACH of those last 7 fights. His opponents, including Pac Man owe him greatly because with him, they have seen their biggest payday's.

Look at his stable of promoters. They are all ex-opponents. The biggest fights are all now Golden Boy.

Tell me again how he has lost?

  2. Didn't say he lost. Post stated that he got his ass kicked and is starting to tarnish his boxing legacy in a significant way. If he keeps showing up to his own fights, spectacle will go down the path of a Mike Tyson fighting retarded bears circus level territory.

Don't get me wrong, Mr. Binx would also happily get his ass kicked for 25 million.
