A Park in 48 Hours

City leaders, volunteers, and high school students landscaped, picked up trash, and broke ground on a new park Saturday in north Laredo.

Keep Laredo Beautiful Executive Director, Lynne Nava, said Girl Scout Madie Simms was instrumental in coordinating this effort.

La Sanbe gives props to all those who took time this weekend to make Laredo a better place. Volunteers include: Alexander H.S. Honors Program, Nixon H.S. Honors Program, Girl Scouts, Jerry Resendez (contractor), and Nick Benavidez (landscaper).

The City of Laredo Parks and Leisure, and Water Utilities staff was also in the mix.
